Love it! Why don’t we rely on super heroes more to help us with our problems? :D

OK, look. You have GOT to stop worrying about the oil spill. You don’t have to–I’m doing the worrying for the entire world right here in lil ole Mississippi. The sad thing about all this is way too many people involved with the oil spill are thinking about money instead of the environment–how much will BP lose, how much will BP make, how much will they get sued for, how many fines will they pay, how many jobs will be lost, how many jobs will be CREATED, how high will they try to raise the price of gas, etc. etc. One thing I DO know is that hurricane season starts June 1 and I can’t even imagine the scenario if even a low blow Category 1 takes aim at the oil spill. Can you say: oil getting shoved up the Mississippi’s ass, hmmm?

Should I mention that I thought I reached your comment link. As I am trolling through the comments, I was thinking she really has them rocking, look at these (43 comments) and the commenters are being mouthy to each other….wow. So, I submit my comment and then take note that I left my comment on the Scientific American blog. They are going to have field day with my comments-oh well.

Okay, nothing like a visual to get my attention. Shit. You’re so much smarter than me. I turn on NPR everyday and hear about the oil spill and I guess I’ve been just waiting for it to go away. Sounds like that’s not going to happen soon.

Yes, NPR. Just heard on NPR that they asked experts to conduct independent estimate and with no doubt, the amount of oil spewing out from that gaping hole (this ain’t a “leak” peeps!) is at least 10 times what BP and gov officials claimed. AND Transocean is invoking a maritime law from fucking 1851 to cap their lawsuit liability at no more than what the oil rig was worth 23 millions (? I can’t be quite sure since I was cursing loudly already in the car). They have received an insurance payout of 400 million+, the only party that has been compensated. (Hey, I want to have whatever insurance they have! Compensated at such speed? Unheard of!!!) They are being sued in over 100 lawsuits already, totaling in billions. Most of these people won’t get anything EVEN IF they could prove that Transocean KNEW about the problems causing the explosion beforehand.

Chris, I am sorry about LA! I pray the hurricane season, sigh, I don’t even know how to finish this sentence. I can’t stop worrying about this whole thing. Ok, maybe I will because I am beyond worrying, I am beyond pissed. I need a new word for this fire burning inside my chest. I am raving mad in the Gulf Oil Spill proportion!
