I know it is kind of lame to keep on writing posts about how I am totally swamped and apologizing for MIA. I am being a selfish blogger at this moment: all taking and no giving back. I am compelled to write this post because I want to use this quote:

We have a gorgeous day here in Chicago. In the 80s. I took a water taxi this morning to the new office.

I am MIA more often than not, so I will not complain. That is one of my favorite Princess Bride quotes, although I never would have remembered it in full, so thanks for that! I have already found that song on my kids’ ipods. Sigh…Ain’t middle school grand? It’s hard to tell them “no”when they know I’m laughing inside.

I’m with Humperdinck. And that swamped thing? Yeah. But you know what? When it’s sunny and warm and gorgeous – sometimes you need to let the swamp sit. It will still be there when the sun sets.
I say… take an hour or two out, play hooky (or hockey?), and enjoy a bit of the day.
