Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice.

Remembering that I’ll be dead soon is the most important tool I’ve ever encountered to help me make the big choices in life. Because almost everything — all external expectations, all pride, all fear of embarrassment or failure — these things just fall away in the face of death, leaving only what is truly important. Remembering that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart.

 

Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

    Hi my girl! We are still in mourning over here in our Mac house. I still check the Apple site everyday to make sure his photo stills holds the front page spot. I’m not sure why it makes me feel better each day I see it still holds in place and not hurried off to move forward like most companies would do. He was a true genius and will be missed.

    My husband remains on suicide watch as the very thought of him having to touch a windows machine in the future has threatened what is left of his sanity.

    …Men are so dramatic.

    I haven’t got an iPhone or an iPad, a Mac or much else. But I’ve got a scratched and limping first-generation click dial iPod that has saved my sanity more times than I can count. Thank you, Mr. Jobs. You sang me to sleep, you helped me fold the laundry five million times, you accompanied me on endless walks, and you rested my mind when it was stewing in its own juices. That’s true humanitarianism.
