My previous post was a fine example for #FirstWorldProblem.
The kids and I survived. Of course. More than survived, we had a grand old time taking it easy playing really layback tourists in Chicago. The kids apparently inherited my love for hotels: we spent one morning inside the hotel watching the History Channel.

As I lay on the lounge chair watching the kids frolicking in the pool on the top of the hotel under the moon and surrounded by city lights, I had to admit, with embarrassment, that I could no longer complain.
I am going to be staying at yet another hotel tonight. BlogHer 2013 is here in Chicago. I hope to see some of you in 3D. Be warned: I am hashtag awkward.
I am the opposite of that Cat cartoon (which was hilarious). I never want to go out but once I’m out, I never want to leave. It’s problematic at times. Glad you enjoyed BlogHer.

I had fun seeing old friends and meeting new friends (well many of them are “old” friends from Internet. you know how that is…) But frankly, here is me:

sigh.
How was Blogher? So fascinated by these events and hope I get to one soon.
The History Channel! Maybe you watched one of my shows? 🙂

Dearest Ameena, you mean you work for History Channel? How did I miss that?! If I were you, I would have mentioned that fact in every single post I write. “So we went to the hotel. By the way did you know that I work at History Channel and I am really awesome?! Ok, so I was saying…”
I have some ideas for panels that you should run if you ever ever are tempted to give BlogHer a try. Serious ideas. To be honest, I think we could use more sessions that are devoted to more intelligent/probing topics outside of the realm of how to monetize your blog, or how to network with sponsors. I feel that diversity is sorely lacking. I have noticed that you attract a large audience that is different from the audience I’ve observed for the other, also popular bloggers. Yes, they are all white and female. I am certainly not saying that you don’t appeal to “mainstream” readers. I hope I am making some sense…
Sigh.
I have a deep and heavy sadness that’s it’s been so long:( Where is the next BlogHer or GGB meet up or hasn’t one of you written and release some sort of saucy memoir yet, where we can come to the book signing? Jesus, I need a recharge.
Did you love BlogHer 13? Why aren’t we invited to speak at these things? I could give a crash course in how NOT to succeed ….

In order to answer your questions, little one, I need to write a full length post. As you know, I’d rather spend my time nowadays on filtering my photos while pretending I am artistic. Or tweeting one-liners so I can feel brilliant in 140 characters…
Yes, we need to get together. For starters, you need to take me to a concert!
Near tears, because I got to meet you. I GOT TO MEET YOU. xo xo xo

I vow to go to WI to meet you all over again.
I hope you had a grand time! (What a cool city. So sorry I couldn’t be there. Looking forward to your tales!)

I had a great time hanging out and meeting some great people! You’re missed. You know that! Oh, I found it interesting that there was an “incognito” session for bloggers that wish to remain anon. So far though I can’t figure out how they did it. Did they wear masks?
You’re totally hashtag brilliant and gorgeous in 3D.

Hashtag blushing. It was very nice meeting you & to be honest, even nicer to find your blog where your “random words” moved me. I don’t mean to make you self-conscious. I have this bad habit of wanting people to know how talented they are.
