Happy 2013!!!!

image

I’m sitting on the plane waiting for takeoff so I can go home to the 22-degree paradise. It figures that on the last day of my vacation the temperate finally got to Florida normal and I stopped throwing up. Hurray 2013! So as my husband and my youngest went off to see the Outback Bowl and I stayed behind at the hotel before our flight that United decided to move earlier, I figured I had two hours to have a nice vacation. So I did. I am glad I decided to start reading The Perks of Being a Wallflower. It was a joy reading it while lounging by the pool facing the beach with a tropical drink in my hand and some nice mahi mahi fish taco that I will actually keep down.

Sorry for whoring the unedited pictures. They are closing the gate now. Love. Bye. See you on the other side!

Happy New Year and welcome back. Vacationing in warm weather while everyone at home is freezing their asses off does have its perks. That’s when I usually plan my trips back to Malaysia, but that’s few and far between. I should keep Florida in mind. Your trip looks awesome, by the way. So jealous.

Thanks. In the past few years I went home between Xmas and New Year. After the plane trip and time change, I lost about 3 days and only had about 3 days on the ground with my family. But still worth it. I now wonder whether I’ll be able to go home this year at all. 🙁 I am keeping my fingers crossed that we both get to go home this year or soon!

I am already giving up on my NY resolutions. In fact, I simply don’t make them any more. Maybe HONESTY should be my resolution?

I really enjoyed the book: already at 80%. As I was reading it, I agreed with many (young) reviewers’ comments that every young person should read this book esp. if they don’t easily fit into the mode. However, this is not a book to be given to the child by a parent as that may cause the confusion of “Is my mom telling me that smoking cigarettes, getting high and taking LSD is ok?” If I were an older sibling, I’d give this book to my younger siblings.

It’s obvious I’d left my previous comment before I finished reading. Now that I have, I’m thinking the appropriate age is more like college age, much older than the age of the characters. or perhaps I’m just another over protective mother who thinks she can shield her kids from things in life…
