CORRECTION: The weed measured almost 17 feet tall. Not 7. Duh.
The boys marched around the house with the weed and its “branch”, (Seriously. If a weed has a branch, doesn’t that negate the definition of a weed and hence it is no longer a weed?!), singing,
“The Weed! The Weed! It’s a very tall weed!”

I once heard a Master Gardner on television say that “a weed is something that is growing somewhere where you don’t want it to grow. So by definition, anything can be a weed.” If you like your “tree weed” and you want it to grow there – then it’s not a weed! (too funny about Michael Phelps and 420. And you taught me something new. I had to go look up 420 in the urban dictionary, naive little thing that I am!)
